Spotify es un servicio propietario de streaming de música en todas las plataformas. Spotify es un servicio gratuito con anuncios que se pueden evitar pagando una suscripción. Aunque Spotify no está soportado oficialmente por Fedora, puede ser instalado en Fedora de diversas maneras:

  1. Usando un Flatpak alijado en Flathub.

  2. Usando Snap alojado en snapcraft.

  3. Using the third-party RPM Fusion repositories.

Installing Spotify using Flatpak

To install Spotify using Flatpak:

  1. Install Flatpak using DNF:

    sudo dnf install -y flatpak
  2. Enable the Flathub remote:

    flatpak remote-add --if-not-exists flathub https://flathub.org/repo/flathub.flatpakrepo
  3. Install Spotify:

    1. Using Gnome Software:

      1. Head to the Spotify page on Flathub.

      2. Click "install", and choose to open the file using Gnome Software.

      3. Click "install" in Gnome Software.

      4. Click "launch" to run Spotify once installed.

    2. Using the command line:

      flatpak install flathub com.spotify.Client
  4. Run Spotify:

    1. Click on the Spotify icon in the applications list,

    2. or use the following command in the terminal:

      flatpak run com.spotify.Client

Installing Spotify using Snap

To install Spotify using Snap:

  1. Install Snap using DNF:

    sudo dnf install snapd
  2. Either log out and back in again, or restart your system, to ensure snap’s paths are updated correctly.

  3. To enable classic snap support, enter the following to create a symbolic link between /var/lib/snapd/snap and /snap:

    sudo ln -s /var/lib/snapd/snap /snap
  4. Install spotify, simply use the following command:

    snap install spotify
  5. Click on the Spotify icon in the applications list.

Using the RPM Fusion repository

For this method, please refer to the lpf GitHub Page requirements.

  1. Enable the RPMFusion repositories.

  2. Install the lpf-spotify-client package:

    sudo dnf install lpf-spotify-client
  3. Install Spotify:

    1. Click the "lpf-spotify-client" icon in the application list.

    2. or use the following command in a terminal:

      lpf update
