Golang 1.15

Fedora 33 provides Golang version 1.15, up from version 1.14 in Fedora 32.

This update contains the following notable changes:

  • Improvements which reduce resource usage of the Go linker

  • A new time/tzdata package for embedding the timezone database into a program

  • The GOPROXY environment variable supports skipping proxies that return errors

  • Improvements for small objects at high core counts

  • Deprecation of CommonName field on X.509 certificates
